Under certain circumstances, you may wish to prevent license usage of Bentley StormCAD in ArcGIS. These circumstances can include the following:

• To avoid using a license of Bentley StormCAD when you are just using ArcMap for other reasons.
• If Bentley StormCAD and another 3rd party application are in conflict with one another.

Starting with the CONNECT Edition, license usage starts recording when you open a hydraulic model in your ArcMap session (in the Hydraulic Model Manager) and does not stop recording until the ArcMap software is closed.

To prevent license usage or conflicts with other software while in an ArcMap session, uncheck the option for ArcMap integration during installation of WaterGEMS.
