Weirs at Pond Outlets

Weirs can be one of the flow controls at a pond outlet element. The properties of a weir are set in Components . Composite Outlet Structures (link to that help topic). Once the properties of the weir are set, the composite outlet structure is assigned to a specific pond outlet element by setting "Has Control Structure" to Yes and selecting the composite outlet structure in the "Composite Outlet Structures" property.

In the GVF rational and GVF convex solvers, weirs cannot be submerged from tailwater. A warning message will be given if that condition exists. Submerged weirs can be solved in the implicit and explicit dynamic solvers.
