Color Book Editor Dialog

Used to create and maintain color books.

You can access this dialog from the following:
  • Ribbon: File > Settings > File > Color Books


Setting Description
Color Book Name Selector Sets the color book that is open for editing. The drop-down menu lists all color books stored in the open DGN library.
CBOOK OPEN [ book_name ]
Color List Box Shows the colors in the color book. The background of each row shows a preview of each color.
  • To modify a color, double-click it.
  • To rename a color, right-click it.

CBOOK COLOR RENAME [ new_color_name ]
Color Slider The rectangle (to the right of the color list box) displays all the colors in the book. Clicking on it moves the current book location and updates the list. The black outline rectangle represents the colors currently displayed in the list. Clicking and dragging the black outline is similar to using the scroll bar in the color list box.
Create Color Opens the Modify Color dialog, which is used to create or modify a color.

Delete Color Deletes the selected color.

Preview Box The front preview displays the selected color. The back preview shows the current background color.
File > New Opens the Create Color Book dialog for creating a color book.


CBOOK NEW [ new_book_name ]
File > Save Saves changes to the selected color book.
CBOOK SAVE
File > Save As Opens the Create Color Book dialog for saving the open color book with a different name.
CBOOK SAVEAS [ copy_book_name ]
File > Delete Deletes the selected color book.
CBOOK DELETE
File > Import Opens the Import Color Book dialog, which is used to import a color book from a comma-separated (.csv) file.
CBOOK IMPORT [ path\directory\filename.csv ]
File > Export Opens the Export Color Book dialog, which is used to export a color book to a comma-separated (.csv) file.
CBOOK EXPORT [ filename.csv ]
