Cable Management Workflow
Step 1: Preparing the project for cable management
An alternative step is to import an existing project from the database.
Step 2: Select cables and DGN files in cable manager.
The next step is to select cables for autorouting.
Step 3: AutoConnecting cables
In this step connections will be established between electrical equipment. Distances shown in the Cable Manager are the shortest distances between cables.
Step 4: Autorouting entry points
In this step we are defining autorouting entry points or area in which autorouter will search for available raceways.
After all equipment has defined autorouting entry points, use pre-check auto routing entry points to confirm that all equipment has entry points to the raceways.
Step 5: Autorouting cables
Once all of the cables in the Cable Manager have autorouting entry points defined, the next step is Automatic cable routing.
An alternative step is to use the manual cable routing option.
Refreshing the routing model
Once all cables are routed refresh the routing model.
Color coding of routing lines indicates raceway fill factor.
Use Raceway fill factor tool to review detailed raceway fill for each individual raceway section.
