Step 1: Create the Datasource
- Launch ProjectWise Administrator, right-click on the Datasource and select New Datasource.
- Click Next and in next window select the A Datasource that is located on Server nameoption.
- Give the datasource a name and click Next.
- Click the drop-down arrow, select the ODBC Datasource and click Next.
- Enter the User name and Password for the database (sa is a preferred User Name) and click Next.
- Set the Authentication type to ProjectWise Native and specify the Administrator username and password. Click Next then Finish in the next dialog.
- When prompted with the message to Create Database Tables, check the Enable "Create" button option then click Create.

In the Create Administrator and Storage dialog click the
Browse button to select the
ProjectWise folder path and enter the password
and click
OK.
The new datasource is now created.
