Known Issues
The following sections contain information about known issues in this Bentley OpenUtilities release. You should report any other issues found while using this software. Please do not assume that others will report the information. However, it is not necessary to report any of the known issues described on this page.

| Some screenshots in the help file show Bentley Utilities Designer. | Bentley Utilities Designer is replaced by Bentley OpenUtilities Designer. Where functionality remains the same, some screenshots have not been changed. |
| The Bentley OpenUtilities Designer Design Editor starts with MVBA errors. | Please run Bentley OpenUtilities Designer Design Editor with Administrator privileges once after installation to allow components to register correctly. |
| The message "object not available" appears when starting Bentley OpenUtilities Designer. | The error is caused by the Microsoft security update described here, http://support.microsoft.com/KB/2687441. Please follow the instructions in the "known Issues" section of the bulletin to fix this issue. |
| Error message "Unable to load DLL SqlServerSpatial110.dll: The specified module could not be found." when posting features to SQL Server spatial. | Install the Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable, which is available on the Microsoft website. 64 bit: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=14632 |
| Compatible Units (CU) are not calculated correctly for underground conduit and cable when muliple points and spans exist between two structures. Only the first span is assigned CUs. | A workaround is to drag-n-drop conduit and cable CUs from the first span onto successive spans. |
| When Bentley Descartes is installed alongside Bentley OpenUtilities Designer, an error will occur when opening the a DGN using the Descartes user. | Bentley Descartes may be loaded into other user workspaces using the key in "MDL LOAD DCARTES". |
