A building is a terminating entity where fiber and copper sheaths can be terminated and Inside Plant rack frames or X-Conn added devices can be associated for terminating fiber and copper circuits.

Open the Building Attributes Dialog Box

1. From the Bentley Comms menu, select Fiber/Copper/ISPSetup > OSP > Buildings.

   

2. The Building Attributes dialog box opens.

   

Editing a Building Model

1. Select a building from the Device List. Highlighting the building loads the information into the dialog box.
2. Edit the Building Attributes input fields.
3. Click Update to save changes into the spec file.

Creating a Building Model

1. Key in the building Type.
2. Key in the Class and Cost.
3. To activate the Select Cell window, type in the cell Name and press enter or click on Select and select the appropriate cell from the Select Cell dialog box list.

   

4. Click Add to save the building into the spec file.

Deleting a Building Model

1. Highlight the name in the Device List.
2. Click Delete to remove the building from the spec file.
   Note: Building models already used in the network cannot be deleted. In order to delete a Building model from the Building Attributes dialog, all of that particular Building model must be replaced in the existing network before it can be removed.
