Locate

The Locate command finds a strand device on the map by its mslink, address, or pole.

Locate by Mslink

1. From the Strand Module menu, select Util > Locate > MsLink.

   

2. The Find By MsLink dialog box opens.

   

3. Key in the Mslink number, set the element type and click Go. The view zooms in on the element found.

Locate by Address

1. From the Strand Module menu, select Util > Locate > Address.
2. The Find By Address dialog box opens.

   

3. Key in a valid address and click Go. The view zooms in on the element found.

Locate by Pole

1. From the Strand Module menu, select Util > Locate > Pole.
2. The Find By Pole Number dialog box opens.

   

3. Key in a valid Pole number and click Go. The view zooms in on the element found.

Address Update

The Address Update command updates certain address fields and address user fields.

Update Address Information

1. From the Strand Module menu, select Util > Address Update.
2. The Global Address Update dialog box opens.

   

3. Set the Search option (By Shape, Fence) and check the information to be updated (Street Name, City/State, Zipcode or User Data). The data fields available for fill-in are based on what is checked in the Update section.
4. Key in or complete the fields being updated. Check the “Overwrite all User Fields” check box if the User Data information is going to overwrite all User fields.
5. Click OK when completed.

Erase Temp Levels

This command erases temporary levels used during the strand session.
