Number

The Number command applies a logical fiber number count to a fiber sheath in the Bentley Comms model.

Build Numbered Fiber Sequence

From the Bentley Fiber menu, select XSection > Number.
Select a fiber segment on the map.
The Logical Order Edit dialog box opens.
Highlight each fiber and assign it a unique number. This number displays in the Seq column.
Choose one of the options available from the pull-down menu: Do Not Ripple, Ripple (No Overwrite), Ripple (Overwrite). Do Not Ripple: fiber sequence is only applied to the selected fiber segment. Ripple (No Overwrite): fiber sequence is rippled through the network only for segments without sequence. Ripple (Overwrite): fiber sequence is rippled through the network.
Click Apply to save the modification.

Note: From the Bentley Comms dialog box, select Fiber/Copper/ISPSetup > Settings > Logical Fiber Numbers to make use of the logical number in X-Section Review, Manual Connections, Retain Order Splicing Report, etc.
