There are two ways to input the specifications. Either import/export the files from another project or enter the individual specs.

Import a Strand Resource File

1. From the Strand dialog box opens, select Strand-File > Setup.

   

2. The Strand Resource dialog box opens.

   

3. From the Strand Resource dialog box, select Util > Import.
4. Locate the Resource (.res) file to be imported.
5. Click OK.
   Note: The (.res) file should not be set as read-only.

Export a Strand Resource File

1. From the Strand Resource dialog box, select Util > Export.
2. Locate the Resource (.res) file to be exported.
3. Click OK to save the Strand Reource file (strand.res). By default, the file is saved in server path \DGN folder.

Delete a Strand Resource File

1. From the Strand Resource dialog box, highlight the resource file to be deleted.
2. Select Util > Delete. The strand resource file is deleted from the database.

Open the Strand Setup Dialog Box

1. From the Strand Module menu, Select Strand-File > Setup.
2. The Strand Resource dialog box opens.

   

3. Highlight a Strand Resource file and click EDIT.
4. The Setup Strand dialog box opens.

   

Create a New Strand Resource File

1. Key in the new resource file name in the Strand Resource dialog box.
2. Click on the Edit button. A Setup Strand dialog box opens with default parameters. The parameters must be set before actually posting strand.

Load a Strand Resource File for use in a Working Session

1. From the Strand Resource dialog box, highlight a Strand Resource file.
2. Click Set to use the highlighted strand resource file on the current modification made during the current session.
