The Reference section allows the automatic attachment of design files to the active file. The Attach Adjacent and Attach View command are only available on Bentley Communications used in DGN Persistence mode.

Attach Adjacent Files

The Attach Adjacent command automatically attaches the adjacent drawing files as reference files.

1. From the Bentley Communications menu, select Reference > Attach Adjacent.

   

2. The adjacent files are attached automatically to the active file.

Attach Design Files Within the View

The Attach View command automatically references all files that intersect the selected view.

1. From the Bentley Communications menu, select Reference > Attach View.

   

2. Click on map to select the view.
