The Internal BOM report in Bentley Fiber generates a report on Bentley Fiber assets in an extracted area (graphical and internal) including # of splices, splice enclosures, sheaths, splitters/MUX devices, nodes, etc. that can be exported to a .xls file with definable formulas for accurate BOM reporting.

1. From the Bentley Fiber menu, select Reports > Internal BOM and choose a method for selecting the features to include in the BOM report.
   Note: Options for report generation are Fence, Shape, Local and Global. The Fence option will prompt you to place a new fence around the features to be reported. Shape will prompt you to select an existing shape in the extracted DGN for the processing of the report. Local will report on all fiber features extracted in the DGN. Global will report on all fiber features in the Comms project.
2. Once the criteria for the report has been defined, the Internal Report dialog box appears.

   

3. Use the Select buttons to choose the .xls template containing formulas to receive the Comms data as well as the path and name of the new BOM to be created.
4. Select Process to complete the report.
   Note: Bentley Comms delivers a sample template .xls containing formulas for the accurate importing of the Comms data model in the Program Files\Bentley\Communications folder.
