Requirements
The following are the requirements for Bentley Automation Service.

iCS for i-models requirements |
* Your publishing engine may already deliver RealDWG support. If not, you can download the Bentley V8i (SELECTseries 4) - Autodesk® RealDWG™ 2016 as needed. * If using MicroStation CONNECT Edition Update 10, use the AutoCAD Civil 3D 2018 Object Enabler (https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/downloads/caas/downloads/content/autocad-civil-3d-2018-object-enabler.html) * If using MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 4), use the AutoCAD Civil 3D 2014 Object Enabler (https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/downloads/caas/downloads/content/autocad-civil-2014-object-enabler.html) |
Tested i-model publishing engines |
Note:
While these were the
applications tested with Bentley Automation Service, it is expected that other
Bentley applications that include i-model publishing capabilities will also
work. In general, you should be publishing your i-models using the same Bentley
applications that were used to create the original models. This means that if
you used
MicroStation to create a particular set of models,
you should install that version of
MicroStation on the Bentley Automation Service
computer in order to publish i-models from those models.

Bentley Automation Service Administrator Requirements
The following requirements apply when installing Bentley Automation Service Administrator on its own computer.
Virtualization Software
Bentley Automation Service is supported for use in virtual environments, however Bentley does not certify Bentley Automation Service on any specific virtualization software. While Bentley Automation Service testing is regularly performed using virtualization software, the individual Bentley Automation Service applications are tested with a focus on the operating system, not the specific virtualization software running the operating system.
Internet Protocol Support (IPv4 or IPv6)
Bentley Automation Service and ProjectWise support the use of either Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) or Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6).
To run on IPv6:
- You must have a fully-configured IPv6 DNS server.
- All Bentley Automation Service and ProjectWise clients and servers must be part of the IPv6 network.
- All ProjectWise clients and servers must be configured to use IPv6, by enabling the new IPv6 settings on the ProjectWise Network Configuration Settings dialog.
- All ProjectWise servers must be configured to use IPv6, by enabling the IPv6 settings in the DMSKRNL.CFG file.
