To Edit a Transformation Script

You can edit the transformation script after you import it into ProjectWise. The easiest way to do this is to check out the script from the iCS for i-models tab of the Job Builder dialog. This checks out the script file and all the related files.

This procedure assumes that you have already imported a local transformation script and that it is currently associated to this job (Associate transformation template is on and an XML script is selected).

  1. Open the job definition for an existing i-model transformation job (right-click the job in the Bentley Automation Service Browser and select Edit).
  2. Select the iCS for i-models tab of the Job Builder dialog.
  3. To the right of the transformation script, click the down arrow on the Import menu and select Check Out.
  4. In the Browse for Folder dialog, select a local folder to check out the files to and click OK.
  5. Open and edit the local transformation script as usual.
Tip: For an easy way to find the transformation script you just checked out, click the down arrow on the Import menu and select Open Check Out Location. This takes you directly to the file.
  6. When finished editing, come back to the iCS for i-models tab of the Job Builder dialog, click the down arrow on the Import menu, and select Check In.

The transformation script and its related files are checked in.

Tip: Use the Free option on the Import menu if you want to undo a check out and discard your local changes. Also, you cannot import a new transformation script if the script associated to the job is currently checked out.
