Updating User Credentials in Pre-8.9.4.x Jobs

The ProjectWise user setting Credential expiration policy was added in ProjectWise V8 XM Edition 8.9.4.x, and since then has been a requirement for creating and running jobs.

If you are upgrading from ProjectWise V8 XM Edition 8.9.3.x or earlier and you have existing jobs in the Orchestration Framework database, you need to make sure that the user whose credentials are stored in those jobs has their Credential expiration policy user setting set to No expiration (this is also referred to as a user with non-expiring credentials). Otherwise, you will not be able to run those existing jobs.

If you know the user account whose credentials are stored in a particular job, you can open ProjectWise Administrator and change that user's user settings accordingly.

Another option is to use one of the following dialogs in Orchestration Framework Administrator to change the credentials stored in a job to those of a user who has non-expiring credentials:

Once the credentials are replaced with those of a user with non-expiring credentials, those older jobs can be run again.
