Installing AssetWise Transportation Database Packages

Once AssetWise has been installed, and a datasource and community have been defined, you can install the AssetWise database packages for Asset Lifecycle Information Management.

Follow these steps to select and install the database package pertaining to your type of Asset Lifecycle Information Management installation. These packages are referenced by the AssetWise ECPlucgin and the AssetWise CONNECT Edition Asset Lifecycle Information Management web application.

  1. Depending on your type of installation, copy the following packages to your AssetWise Information Integrity Server, into the AssetWise Information Integrity Server Database directory, for example, D:\Program Files\Bentley\eB\Server\Database.
    Note: You will need to have local Admin privileges, in order to copy the files.
    Note: Each package should contain two compressed (zip) files, one for SQL and one for Oracle, as well as an xml file.

  2. Open the AssetWise System Management Console.
  3. Navigate to your server node in the tree, and then expand Data Sources in the tree.
  4. Select the data source for which you want to install the packages.
  5. Click Upgrade or Update the Database.
    Tip: Make sure that the appropriate packages are selected for your installation.
  6. Click Start the Database Update.
