To Create a Transmittal

In AssetWise CONNECT Edition Asset Lifecycle Information Management, creating a transmittal involves defining its attributes, assigning recipients, and attaching relevant documents to the transmittal.

Follow these steps to create a transmittal.

  1. From the Deliverables tab, select New Transmittal. The New Transmittal page appears, active at Stage 1.
    Note: You can also create a transmittal by clicking Add Transmittal from the Transmittals Dashboard.
  2. Select a transmittal Template from the list.
    Note: This field is required.
  3. Select the Purpose of the transmittal, from the list.
    Note: This field is required.
  4. Select a Project from the list.
  5. You can enter any Comments about the transmittal, in the box provided.
  6. Click Next. The workflow advances to the Recipients step.
  7. Do one of the following:

    From the Actions menu, select Add Recipients.

    or

    Click Add Recipients in the list area.

    The Add Recipients dialog appears.
  8. Select each recipient from the list, and then click Add Recipients. The selected recipients appear in the list.
  9. Click Next. The workflow advances to the Documents step.
  10. Do one of the following:

    From the Actions menu, select Add exisiting document.

    or

    Click Add existing document in the list area.

    The Add Documents dialog appears.
  11. Select the location of the document, from the Add from list.
    Tip: You can select Advanced Search from the list, to search for a document. The default location is Basket.
  12. Select one or more documents to include with the transmittal, and then click Add selected. The selected documents appear in the list.
  13. Click Create. A "Draft" transmittal is created, and opens to the General tab.
