The Contractor Initiated EWN Workflow
An early warning notification initiated by the Contractor (EWNC), indicates that the Contractor has notified the Project Manager of an early warning regarding a potential issue on the contract, that may have cost, time, and/or performance implications.
When risk actions are created and closed out, a Project Manager's Instruction (PMI) or Project Manager's Notification of Compensation Event (PMNCE) or a Contractor's Notification of Compensation Event (CNCE) may be initiated.
Communications, documents, files, and notes may also be associated with each EWNC.
Any AssetWise user who has the C_Commercial or PM_Commercial role is able to view this form.
The following diagram illustrates the workflow of tasks that are performed with a Contractor-initiated EWN:
AssetWise CONNECT Edition also prompts users to include various NEC3 contract clauses, at the appropriate times, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
To create a contractor initiated early warning notification, see To Create a Contractor EWN.
When the Initiate phase is completed, you can assign one or more actions to a group of users with a particular skillset, or to a specific user. For more information about assigning tasks, see Working with Tasks.
