To Re-assign a Task to Another User
You can re-assign
a task that has been assigned to you, providing that the work has not been
started or is in progress, therefore tasks that can be re-assigned must reside
in your Inbox or Forthcoming folders. Tasks that have been completed may be
re-assigned. Re-assigning a task releases you from all responsibility and
control of the task. Note that your user account must have the appropriate
privileges to allow a task to be re-assigned.
Note: In order to
re-assign a task, you must first reject it. See
Rejecting a Task for more information.
Follow these steps to re-assign a task to another user:
- From the Work Exchange tile, select one of the following: Based on your selection, all tasks in the relevant Work Exchange folder appear.
- Select the task from the list by checking the box to the left of the task name, for example:
- From the Actions menu, select Re-assign selected. The Task Reassign dialog appears, for example:
- Select an Assignee from the list.
- Accept or select a Due Date, by clicking the calendar icon ( ), and selecting a date. .
- Enter Task instructions in the box provided, and then click Verify and reassign.
