A Highway Dedication defines which type of Highway user has access to that particular section of the Highway.

To create a Highway Dedication, make a selection on the map and click the ESUs (Type 13) tab. Click the associated ESUID link in the list.

Click the Create New Dedication button. The Create Highway Dedication dialog opens. Mandatory fields are outlined in red.

Click the Dedication dropdown and select from the list.

Enter the Start Date. If applicable, enter an End Date. You can also enter a Season Start and Season Date.

By default, the switches for PRoW, NCR, Quiet Route, Obstruction, Planning Order, and Prohibited are set to No. Change the settings to Yes as is appropriate for the Dedication you are creating.

When you have finished entering the HWD attributes for the dedication click Save to create the dedication.

To close a Highway Dedication record, click the Close Record button associated with it in the Highway Dedication list. The End Date (Dedication) dialog opens.

Enter or select the Effective Date using the calendar button, then click Save to close the dedication.
