There may be cases where you have a spatial table that is not part of the AWLRS system (e.g. a table containing property polygons). In order to be able to view it within AWLRS, you can use the Register Spatial Table option.

To register a spatial table:

1. Click the Register Spatial Table radio button in the Create new GIS Theme form.
2. Select an existing Base Table theme from the drop-down list. The Theme Name textbox will default to {Base Theme}_NAME. Edit this value if required.
3. The Primary Key Field, Geometry Field and Geometry Type values will be populated automatically using the base table settings.
   Note: In order to register a spatial table, the table MUST include a primary key.
4. If the Primary Key Field is not the column you want to join back to the Themes table, set the Foreign Key field value to that column by selecting it from the Foreign Key Field dropdown.
5. If the spatial table already has an entry in the USER_SDO_GEOM_METADATA table (which you don’t want to use) set the Override Metadata Entries switch to Yes.
6. If the table does not have a spatial index, or you want to re-create the spatial index, set the Create Spatial Index switch to Yes.
7. Click the Register Table button to create the theme and register the spatial table in the AWLRS metadata.
