To Select By Mechanical Criteria

Select the Mechanical criteria option. The Selector-Criteria-Mechanical dialog appears.
Enable the mechanical criteria drop lists by clicking the check boxes.
Select the discipline: HVAC, Plumbing or Electrical.
Select the type: Linear, Fitting or Flexible.
Select the shape: Rectangular, Round or Flat Oval.
Select from the available justification or placement point options.
Review the Mechanical criteria definition.

This criteria selects rectangular HVAC duct placed by routing along the center of the duct:
1. Since the discipline is HVAC, pipe or conduit is excluded.
2. Fittings and flex duct are excluded because they are not considered Linear elements.
3. Round duct is excluded as well. Only Rectangular elements are selected.
4. Rectangular HVAC duct placed using any justification option other than Center is also ignored.
Return to the Select By Attributes dialog and click Apply.
