Publish i-model(s) Dialog
Used to convert a design file into an .i.dgn file. All design files that can be opened in AECOsim Building Designer can be converted into an i-model. Also used to combine (package) the set of published .i.dgn files and its references into a single, protected file. Publishes the master file, each of its displayed references, resulting in a corresponding .i.dgn file for each.
All options that you have selected in the Publish i-model(s) dialog can be saved as an .XML file. You can then open the saved file and use the saved settings.

Remove intermediate files | Removes the individual i-models of each file when a package is created. |
Create an i-model (.imodel) file | Creates an .imodel file that can be used with mobile applications. The Bentley DgnDb i-model Importer converts DGN V8-format packaged i-models (.i.dgn) into DgnDb-format (.imodel) i-models. The .imodel is compact and optimized for mobile apps. Tip: To learn more about creating .imodels using the Bentley DgnDb i-model Importer or other supported file-formats conversions in batch mode, go to C:\Program Files\Bentley\ItgDgnDbImporter 1.5\Bentley_DgnDb_i-model_Importer.pdf or C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\ItgDgnDbImporter 1.5\Bentley_DgnDb_i-model_Importer.pdf.
Note: The current version of Bentley DgnDb i-model Importer doesn't support publishing of 2D drawings\models, whether seed or non-seed and also hypermodeling callouts workflows by default. But one can make changes to the ImportConfig.xml file in C:\Program Files\Bentley\ItgDgnDbImporter 1.5 for the following two variables to overcome that for the intended design review workflows:
<OptionBool name="ConvertSeedDrawingsTo3d" value="true" /> <!--convert drawing models in seed file into physical models--> <OptionBool name="ConvertNonSeedDrawingsTo3d" value="true" /> <!--convert drawing models in other (non-seed) files into physical models; this is potentially unsafe for files using hypermodeling, and is NOT intended to support that workflow--> |
Publish .imodel to Personal Share | (Available only if you are signed in from the CONNECTION Client) If on, publishes an i-model to the Personal Share. The file name on Personal Share will be the same as the one on the local drive. If a file with the same name already exists in the Personal Share, it will be overwritten. |
Cache Visible Edges for 3D Attachments | If on, the references that are set to Dynamic and are valid for being converted to cached are published as Cached. The references that are set to Cached are published as Cached and are reprocessed only if they are out of date. A reference is considered as valid for being converted to cache, if the following are true:
If off, and if a cache is up to date, it will be published as is. If it is out of date, it is published as Dynamic. When on, improves the portability and display performance of the published i-models, at the cost of additional publishing time. |
Retain Cached Visible Edges Even if Out Of Date | If on, the references that are set to Cached are published as is, even if they are out of date. |
Include Linked Design Files | Publishes i-models of all files linked to the master file by links in Explorer or links by callouts. Only publishes the design files; non-DGN files linked to the master file are not published. For further details, refer to the publication settings for i-models. |
Republish All i-models | Forces the master file and its reference files to be republished, even if they have not been modified since the last time they were published. |
Publish | Allows you to select the content to be published. You can select from the following options:
