To place a compound cell as a shared cell using the Compound Cell Manager

  1. Select the Compound Cell Manager tool. The Compound Cell Manager dialog opens.
  2. (Optional) Select a compound cell library from the Current Library option menu.
  3. Turn on Shared.
  4. Select a compound cell to place.
  5. Click Place. The Place Compound Cell dialog opens, with Shared on.
  6. Place the compound cell. An instance of the compound cell is placed as a shared cell in the DGN file. The compound cell is shown as shared (Shrd) in the Cell Library dialog.
