AECOsim Energy Simulator is a breakthrough product because it provides solutions to energy simulation challenges better than other simulation products. Challenges such as inputting geometry data into the energy simulator quickly and accurately are solved because AECOsim Energy Simulator can directly read all the same BIM geometry formats that MicroStation can, including DGN (MicroStation) and AutoCAD, Revit and other formats. The fact that AECOsim Energy Simulator is a Bentley application also means there is full interoperability with Bentley’s building design applications.

The challenges of simulated HVAC systems not fully matching those actually existing buildings or as built into buildings are also solved because all EnergyPlus HVAC systems and components are available, and are fully configurable from within AECOsim Energy Simulator.
