Exporting a DGN Model to LumenRT

Exporting a AECOsim Building Designer model to LumenRT software gives you the flexibility of using the powerful features of LumenRT for visualizing your design in real time. LumenRT transforms CAD/CG/GIS models into real-time 3D immersive scenes called LiveCubes™. LiveCubes are completely self-contained 3D environments that allow authors to place their models into a rich environmental context complete with trees, terrains, water, skies, clouds, characters, vehicles, and so on.

While exporting to LumenRT, AECOsim Building Designer automatically creates a 3 point camera with respect to the active view.

To Export a DGN Model to LumenRT

Select the LumenRT tool (Visualization > Home > LumenRT > LumenRT).
If you don't have LumenRT installed, you will get an alert regarding the same.
If you have LumenRT installed, you will get a pop-up message mentioning that the application LumenRT will start.
Make sure you have appropriate license for LumenRT and click Proceed.
AECOsim Building Designer exports the model to a .lob file and opens the file in LumenRT.

About Animating with VISSIM Traffic

VISSIM traffic animations can be attached to the DGN file while exporting to LumenRT. You need the VISSIM traffic animation text file (VISSIM ani.txt) to attach the VISSIM traffic simulation to the DGN file. For information on creating VISSIM traffic animation text file, refer to VISSIM documentation. Once attached and exported to LumenRT, you see the traffic simulation running in LumenRT.

To Export a DGN Model with VISSIM Traffic to LumenRT

Open the LumenRT Settings dialog ( Visualization > Home > LumenRT > LumenRT Settings ).
Turn on the Use VISSIM check box.
(Optional) Set Vissim offset.
Click OK.
Select the LumenRT tool (Visualization > Home > LumenRT > LumenRT).
If you don't have LumenRT installed, you will get an alert regarding the same.
If you have LumenRT installed, you will get a pop-up message mentioning that the application LumenRT will start.
Make sure you have appropriate license for LumenRT and click Proceed.
In the Select Vissim File dialog that opens, select the VISSIM traffic animation text file (.txt) and click Open.
AECOsim Building Designer exports the model along with the VISSIM traffic animation to a .lob file and opens the file in LumenRT.
