Architectural discipline Component Keypoints

Keypoints for associative dimensions are also available on Architectural discipline components including PC Studio cells (PAZ), cells (CEL), Building compound cells (BXC), and Parametric Frame Builder cells (BXF). The following table describes keypoints for a selection of these components.

Building Component Keypoint Locations Keypoint Description
Doors (PAZ)


Up to 6 keypoints (door sill): 1 outside frame, latch side; 1 inside frame, latch side; 1 center; 1 inside frame, hinge side; 1 outside frame, hinge side; 1 if placed by Offset Point.
Doors (BXF)


Up to 4 keypoints (door sill): 1 outside frame, latch side; 1 center; 1 outside frame, hinge side; 1 if placed by Offset Point.
Handrails (PAZ)






Up to 4 keypoints: 1 for each placement point.
Curtain Walls (PAZ)


Up to 4 keypoints (curtain wall sill): 1 outside frame, latch side; 1 center; 1 outside frame, hinge side; 1 if placed by Offset Point.

Up to 4 keypoints (curtain wall head): 1 outside frame, latch side; 1 center; 1 outside frame, hinge side, 1 if placed by Offset Point.
Note: Some associative dimensioning keypoints are view dependent. Only those keypoints on the floor level are available in the plan view; all keypoints are available in the section, elevation, and 3D views.
Note: Placement points for cabinets are not considered keypoints.
