The default values that appear in various dialog boxes (such as material properties and framing) are selected by the System Administrator upon installing the RAM Structural System Software. These defaults can be changed for the current model by using the Options - Set Defaults command.

The changes only affect the default values that appear in the dialog boxes. Options - Set Default does NOT go back and change the settings of members placed prior to the change.

Make changes by entering new values in the edit boxes. Column Eccentricity defaults can also be changed. Click the Eccentricities button to bring up the Steel Column Eccentricities Defaults dialog box in which changes are made.

Click OK to put the changes into effect or Cancel to keep the original default values.
