If BS8110 is selected as the design code in the concrete analysis module then design is based on the requirements of the concrete design specifications published by the British Standards Institute in BS8110. The implementations of the sections of the code accounting for the design of concrete columns are subjected to certain assumptions and limitations as outlined in the Technical Notes. For BS8110 unless otherwise noted all references to sections and equations are from BS 8110-1:1997 including Amendment #3
