Selecting Member Code Check from the Process menu will initiate the code check according to the standard provisions of the selected steel design code. During this process, all lateral steel members will be checked for the selected code specifications for all program generated load combinations as well as user defined load combinations. Once the code check is completed, the model is redrawn on the screen with members color coded indicating to what degree each member is overstressed or understressed as determined by the Interaction Equations. A chart correlating color with Interaction Equation values appears in the upper right hand corner of the screen. This display reflects the worst case for each member given the load combinations analyzed.

The View/Update command can be used to further investigate and, if desired, modify the design of a lateral member.
