The Extractor Tool

The Data Extractor is started by selecting Post-Processing > Extract Data in RAM Manager.

When the Data Extractor opens, you are presented with a view showing a list of data categories on the left and a list of tables selected for export on the right. By default, all tables are selected for export.

The arrows buttons between the two lists are used to select and deselect the tables that will exported. The double arrows move the fill list from one side to the other. The single arrows move just the selected, category or data element

In the Choose Tables/Columns window, click the + beside a data category to display the tables included in that category. Click the + beside the table name to show the data available within that table. Data can be selected for export at any of these three levels.

The Tables/Columns Selected for Export window can be used to further refine the data that will be exported. Select or deselect the check box beside the table name to indicate if it will be exported. Select the + beside the table name, select individual data items and then click the single left arrow to remove that piece of data from the export.

The filter buttons allow the user to select only data that meets certain criteria. For instance, only beams with an x-coordinate of 0.0 or only stories with a certain label.

Templates can be created to save export configurations. The default template is "Complete" which includes all data. To create a new template, first create the desired export configuration in the window on the right. The new template can then be created using either the + button or the save as button. Once a template has been saved, it will appear in the Template drop-down.

Templates can be managed on the Saved Templates tab. This tab lists the available templates and their descriptions. Templates can be added and deleted. Names and descriptions can be edited.
