Menu Item Description Shortcut


New
Opens the New dialog, which is used to create a new project database.  


Open
Opens the Open dialog, which is used to open an existing project database. <Ctrl+O>


Delete
Opens the Delete dialog, which is used to delete one or more project databases.  
Close Model Closes the current project database.
Tip: Generally it is not necessary to perform action, such as when exiting the program, etc. However, for some of the external links and export capabilities in other programs it is necessary to have the model closed before that database can be accessed by those programs.
 


Save
Save changes to the current database. <Ctrl+S>
Save As To save the current database with a different name or in a different directory.  
Save as Archive To save an archive database with on the model data.  
Revert Used to discard changes made since the last Save.  
ISM >

Create ISM Repository
Used to create a new ISM repository from an existing RAM Structural System database.  
 

New From ISM Repository
Used to create a new RAM Structural System database from an existing ISM repository.  
 

Update ISM Repository
Used to update an existing ISM repository to reflect changes made to the RAM Structural System database.  
 

Update From ISM Repository
Used to update an existing RAM Structural System database to reflect changes made to the ISM repository.  
  ISM Options Opens the ISM Options dialog, which is used to specify synching parameters and map master tables.  
ProjectWise > Add Used to add the current database file to a ProjectWise repository.  
  Open Used to open a RAM Structural System file stored in a ProjectWise repository.  
  Update Server Copy Used update the ProjectWise server copy of the file with the latest changes that have been made to the local copy of the file.  
  Properties Used review and edit the ProjectWise document properties of the currently opened file.  


Model Status
Opens the Model Status dialog, which is used to display a list of the status of each of the modules for the current database.  
Reset Status Invalidates the current analysis, and resets the analysis and design status.  
Job Name Opens the Job Name dialog, which is used to add or edit the job description for the project database.  
Notes Opens the associated plain text file in your computer's default text editor (e.g., Notepad), which is used to view or add notes pertaining to the current model.
Note: The model notes file is stored in the same directory as the model's files and will have the format 'modelname.txt'.
 
<file list> Contains a list of recently opened project databases. Select one to re-open that database.  
Exit Closes RAM Manager.
