Purpose: To add a joist from an existing column to an existing beam or joist using an angle measured from the positive X-Axis:

1. Select the Column-to-Beam (Angle Relative to X-Axis) option button.
2. Enter the angle (0 to 90 degrees) of the new joist in the Angle edit box. The angle is measured from the X-Axis.
3. Click Add. The dialog box will disappear and the RAM Modeler will enter the Add Joist Off-Grid Layout Mode.
4. Click the reference column.
5. Click the quadrant for the new joist to be added. The closest intersection of the new joist with an existing member in the selected direction will form the second end of new the joist.
