Fundamental Structure Period: T
The fundamental period of the structure can be either calculated from an Eigenvalue analysis or it can be defined by the user. Alternatively, it is also permitted to use T = Tα
The following upper limit is enforced:

The term "Cu" is defined in Table 12.8.1. For story drift calculations, the upper limit given above is not enforced (see Section 12.8.6.2). It should be noted that the fundamental period T is calculated separately for each loading directions.
