Layout > Horizontal Braces menu
The Horizontal Brace menu items and tools function very similarly as for Beams. However, Horizontal Braces can cross beams and other horizontal braces. Horizontal braces can only be added for Steel, Concrete, and Other materials.

| Add On-Grid | Opens the Add <material> Horizontal Brace On-Grid Mode dialog, which is used to add horizontal braces using the current Grid Lines and columns for brace end points. |
| Add Off-Grid | Opens the Add <material> Horizontal Brace Off-Grid Mode dialog, which is used to add a single horizontal brace using existing beams, horizontal braces or columns as reference points. |
| Delete | Opens the <material> Horizontal Brace Delete Mode dialog, which is used to delete horizontal braces. |
| Change Properties | Opens the Change <material> Horizontal Brace Properties Mode dialog, which is used to change horizontal braces properties. |
| Change Material | Opens the Change <material> Horizontal Brace Material Mode dialog, which is used to change the material of an existing horizontal brace. |
| Show | Prompts you to select a horizontal brace and then opens the Horizontal Brace Show Mode dialog, which is used to show the properties and location of a horizontal brace. |
| Brace Points | Opens the User Brace Point Layout Mode dialog, which is used to define brace points along the top and/or bottom flange of a horizontal brace. |
| Assign Frame Fixity | Opens the Assign Frame Horizontal Brace Fixity dialog, which is used to assign end fixity conditions to horizontal braces. |
| Assign Size | Opens the Assign <material> Horizontal Brace Size Mode dialog, which is used to assign a size to one or more horizontal braces. |
