The Assign > Wall Groups command is used to group columns and shear wall panels into a single wall system (wall group). RAM Frame integrates the contribution of member forces from these wall panels and columns into a single member force for the wall group. This command is useful to arrive at design member forces (such as shears, moments, and torsion) for a whole wall group unit.

The Assign > Wall Group Number command is used to define the wall group number. The numbers are limited between 0-999. The Assign > Wall Groups > Member command is used to select walls and or columns that form part of the wall group.

The major direction of a wall group is determined by the orientation of the last wall panel selected for the particular wall group. The major direction for a particular wall group can be changed at any time by clicking on a wall panel that lies in the desired direction.

The Assign > Wall Groups command can be used in the Single or Fence mode.
