Complementary Results for Nodes in Semirigid & Pseudo-Flexible Diaphragms

Several reports can provide additional information for nodes located inside a semirigid or a pseudo-flexible diaphragm. These reports are Model Data, Criteria, Mass and Exposure, Loads and Applied Forces, Nodal Displacements and Periods and Modes.

The user is required to invoke the "Include Semirigid & Pseudo-Flexible Diaphragm Node Results" option in Reports command. Once it is invoked, nodes created for semirigid and pseudo-flexible diaphragms are included in these reports. Otherwise, they are ignored in these reports.

Once the option is invoked, these reports provide additional informations. Below, they are summarized:

Model Data Report: A separate section called Semirigid Diaphragm Properties is included in the report. For each finite element generated during meshing semirigid diaphragms, the report tabulates the following information: Node connectivity information, Poisson's ratio, thickness (both membrane and bending) and modulus of elasticity (E).

Criteria, Mass and Exposure Report: Distributed nodal masses for each nodes are included in the report.

Loads and Applied Forces Report: Point loads on semirigid diaphragms are shown in the report.

Nodal Displacements Report: The report also shows nodal displacements for nodes that are a part of semirigid diaphragm.

Periods and Modes Report: For Semirigid diaphragms and pseudo-flexible diaphragms, diaphragm mass are distributed over diaphragm nodes or over frame joints, respectively. The Mode Shapes section also include mode shape values at these nodes as well. It should be noted that the report can be too long of the command is activated.
